Sloooow Dturbo

So my friend bought a 98 d turbo today. I just drove it there. and its slower than my nad 306!! So what are the main reasons that itd be this slow? .. Also its been parked for 4 or 5 months! His is the one with the gold alloys Smile

Is it an DT engine in it? Lol. Is the turbo actually working? Has it got a boost gauge?

Was going to make a joke about it being so low that it cant go anywhere fast but it doesn't look too bad!

Is she smoking alot?

No smoke at all. Boost gauge aint is in it but it aint working Tongue Would it being parked for 5 months make any difference? ..... Left him 10 car lengths behinf in the nad Tongue Tongue

Haha go the nad! Shouldnt really affect it. Service it and see what boost its running.

My bets would be on fuel filter.

Fuel filter, air in the system or a hole in the boost pipe - or it's fallen off.

boost comp pipe broken or boost leak.

but normally it would smoke like hell
