Boost Temp Gauge
#1
Getting pi$$ed off going through the crap on eBay.

Really really really want a boost temp gauge, don't care how shit it looks.

All of them seem to have extremely short probe cables which is the main problem.

Here's a few to give you an idea of what I'm after:

Can always splice up a "PC" connection to a 12v from radio and earth so that isn't an issue..

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like one so lets have some group effort.. Blush

Thanks..

Zzzz!

What is the probe cable anyway? Could I not just chop and extend it with some speaker cable or something..!?

The last one looks pretty tidy. Feeling a bit stupid that I spent about 20 pounds on something that looks very similar and has far too short a cable. Need to open it up at some point and see what type of cable it is. Still not even fitted front mount intercooler yet though, just can't get any time on the car.

I just bought the last one for £2.29 or something.

Just trying to think how I'm going to stop it getting sucked into the inlet..

Initial thought is zip tie it through a silicone join.. But that'll boost leak to f**k!

Second thought is put it pre FMIC and it'll have a job getting through there, but it's pre-FMIC (fairly useless) and the probe will probably fail to reach the dash/unit!

Third thought is to buy a tap that I can drill into the inlet manifold, place the probe in it and cover it in black silicone to seal it in place.

Any advice/thoughts?

I was planning to drill inlet manifold and chemical metal the probe in place.
