I've found a switch beside the keyhole for turning the airbags off. I have pushed it a few times and it seems to have no use (as far as I know). Anyone have any idea as to what it's for? It's in a 2000 HDI if that's any help also.

Ah thanks. Was beginning to bug me, especially since I have no manual with the car.
Is that where passengers in the back can't operate their windows? Or am I completely of course?

Yeah, that's exactly what it's for.

It probably is to do with the alarm I'd assume.

I also have a black tipped push button in-between the headlight level control and dash light dimmer. I assumed it was for the alarm, as it doesn't look factory fit, more aftermarket. There is a small LED above it. I dare not press it in-case the car never starts again!

Do you have rear electric windows Kyle? Yours sounds like the cut-off switch for those.

Yes, this is the button I'm talking about. I've still no idea what it's for

Tiny black push button with chrome nut fixing. Traced wires today and they go to alarm, no idea why. I also have a flashing red imob led in the centre by clock but i presumed that was standard. Glad to hear others have this mystery switch.
