Help leak!!
#1
Hey guys. Need some help.. I woke up today and there was a puddle on my passenger side foot well, I havnt got a door card on do thort maybe the seal was broke.. But there's no signs of water coming down the side.. I don't think it could be heater matrix because it's just water doesn't smell of anything.. It was raining last night so hoping it's just a leak threw the door.. But there was pretty much a small puddle.. Any advice??

I'll take your small puddle and raise you a larger one.

Not sun roof that's fine.. If it was heart matrix surely it will be wet further up but it's bone dry.. I'm not sure grrr

Water matrix leak is usually brown and smells of coolant if you have any.

Get a door seal from the scrap yard. Cheap and worth a shot.

You wanna hope it's the door seal, cos the heater matrix isn't much fun to replace.

Get the hose out and run it over the car, you'll soon see if it's leaking water in.

is it loosing coolant? if not it shouldn't be the matrix.

my money is on door seal or possibly roof Ariel.

It'd have to rain chuffing hard to get that much through the ariel.

Mine used to leak, but I usually noticed when it took a wee on me in the morning - it didn't leak so much it formed a puddle overnight.

Yeh frosty if you've got one!! I found out it's the door seal.. Poured a bucket of water on roof and it come threw at door! But the seat was wet this morning! No idea!

I think because the door card isn't on it could be that.. But no idea about the seat unless it's damp from the puddle over night? It's like it's going threw the seal and under the carpet.. Definitely not sun roof!! And can't be matrix either.. Hmmmm

Could be coming through the scuttle panel the drainage holes could be blocked.

Easier option is to just pack a towel (standard Pug equipment for me) and just mop it up each time.. Tongue

My 205 sun roof is far from water proof..

Suppose it doesn't help to have a full roof size sun roof that you can't go over 60mph with it open as the wind noise/force is unbearable. Tongue
