Epic headgasket failure.... Round 2!
#1
On Friday night me and pugmarshall picked up a bargain 205, only 15 miles from my house with 3 months tax and mot

1995 Peugeot 205 mardi gras 1.8d (nad) in miami blue with the nice Nad bosch pump

Really tidy car except for a red bootlid that the previous owner put on to replace the dented original, and a small scratch on the side where someone has walked past with a belt buckle or something

The Nad engine lasted for an hour of our abuse before this happened:

It's possible because there's a couple of xud11 205s in Holland, not sure how much custom work would need to be put in though, things are already getting tight in some areas putting an xud9te in

Been contemplating an mi16 or maybe Tu5jp4 like the rallye. But that's effort when an xud will drop straight in no worries. Going to sort out the body and chassis first then leave the Bay empty for whatever, already got a car full of 205 parts haha

They aren't bad engines provided you service them properly.. and regularly and can make pretty crazy power

Only problem I know of is the turbo lines get blocked(?) and kill the turbo
what else is wrong with them?

I think Frosty only said it because he keeps tripping over one at his work Tongue

They are a delicate engine when it comes to what type of oil is used in them. Also suffer with DMF and DPF but I'm sure their must be a solid flywheel conversion around and someone to map the DPF & EGR out.

They're a great engine plauged by so many issues.

They f*ck injector seals, then you can't get the injectors out the head, scrapping the engine.

They only take a CERTAIN type of oil (lowSAP) otherwise they'll block the turbo feeds, killing the turbo.

Some are DMF - but there's a SMF conversion kit available.

Some have a DPF - but easily mapped out.

These Nad engines are tough little bastards, after the other night it's just taken another 3 hours of engine torture, everything you can do to try killing an engine has been tried, burnouts, redline torture, hooning with no coolant, donuts, j turns, running on engine oil..... We even filled up the rad with coke at one point to see what would happen haha
A can of hairspray down the inlet developed a loud knock but it still runs, it was going for an hour with no coolant whatsoever haha

This is how hot it was haha
