306 hard to start letting diesel run back?

306 hard to start letting diesel run back?

have a 306 d turbo here sometimes its very hard to start heater plugs are spot on i have a feeling it could be letting diesel run back to the tank would i have to change the filter head or the hand primer or whats the best fix ?

whatever is knackered lol . . . could be a few things, squeeze the primer til hard then squash it hard and hold it to see if there's any fuel/air leaks . . . .Smile

Hand primer is a couple of quid to change.
Could be the seal around the fuel filter housing, take it apart clean it with brake cleaner and goo it back together with silicone - again a couple of quid.
Could be leak off pipes - again a couple of quid to change.

All things considered you might have to spend upto a tenner Smile

Could be a blocked fuel filter also, ontop of whats been said above.
Doesnt even own a 306.
