Sedan: Wet Boot
#1
Hey up,

Anyone ever had an issue with wet carpet in a Sedan boot and how to resolve the issue? Only thing I can think of is the Boot Seal but thought I'd ask jusy incase there was an alternative or other possible causes.

Physically impossible for it to be that with how wet the carpet is lol I don't leave my Biking clothing in the car anyhow.

Ah, ok.. Just thought it was worth a check. I soaked my estate on several occasions with kayaking kit.

Check the rear lights aren't leaking into the car

Saying that, My drivers rear lights were out few days ago, so I replaced the bulbs and discovered a small amount of water in the cluster. That's certainly something I'm going to check out in the morning.

Sedans collect water in the recess around the boot lid, I guess if the drains are blocked it would find its way into the boot somehow.

My sedan was awful for leaking, water through the tops of the doors and the boot used to get filled up with coal haha

Sounds like your boot seal then. Try taking it off, cleaning i, treating it with something then refitting. Could be rusty behind it.
