406 HDI 90/110

Probably a daft question, but are these engines identical to the 306 HDI? Take the same maps with the same results? Been offered a very cheap 406 estate that could be very handy...

Some use a Siemens ECU which isn't easily mappable...

Yeah, the 110 has an intercooler.

Oh, and seimens management is horrible to drive.

So theoretically with a 110 I could just stick a torque restricted stage 2 map on it?

All the 110's are bosch iirc. The 90's were mostly seimens, certainly the later ones.

So it needs to be a 110. Not sure what it is, he just said it's a 2 litre diesel, ruling out either XUD or the 136 HDi...

If it's a 110 I'm quite keen, my dog hates being in the back of the 306, no enough room for him Sad

The 136 is also a 2.0HDi, although I didn't know they put those in the 406.

My bad, the 2.0 in everything else (307, 407 etc) is 136, but the 2.2 in the 406 is also 136! That's confusing lol.

I think the 136 in the 307 is a 16v, don't quote me on that though...
