easier to get a low milage box from the scrappers, tu boxes are made of swiss cheese anyways

yeah I'd agree...

these are known for breaking a lot...so try finding a lower miler.

Milage is irrelevant, I had a low milage 'box fitted that lasted less than 2 months before breaking again.

They are cheap and easy to replace, but you really can't tell when they're gonna break. If you want longevity and reliability go for a recon'd 'box, won't be cheap though.

I've owned two 306 that's have had exactly te same issue with them. They're all as soft as transvestite on eastrogen tablets.

I've had the gearbox of a 306 more times than I care to recall now. It's all part of the fun of living for the 306 Smile

That's a lot for a used 1.4 'box but I suppose the warranty is worth it.

Most decent TU 'boxes are around that these days Tom, especially the single linkage ones, where demand seems to be higher than supply.
Custom roll cages/shiny suspension bits/general fabrication work undertaken, PM me.
Top engine mount repair/reinforcement/chocking for cracked chassis and high powered cars, drive in, drive out, 2 hour turnaround.
