i have just put some 60mm springs on standard shocks with new top mounts and bumpstops etc. but bloody hell thay are hardrer than my old 40mm. is this normal?

...yes, or you'd be bottoming out all the time?

Yeah they are prob rated to be a bit stiffer for the reason above
also the stiffness vearys depending on brand |
