Rev counter burning out?
#1
Right, some shenanigans happened, my original rev counter just "died" about, what, 2 years ago? Searched high and low for months and found a replacement set of clocks.

Took the rev counter out, fitted it, worked fine (slightly over read?) for all of three days, then burnt out seemingly randomly.

I have the sensor pushed as far into the flywheel as it will go and the only non standard electrics I have are my boost gauge lighting and oil temp gauge (which doesn't even work) running off a single slot from the fuse box.

I have a new set of clocks sitting here thanks to Piggy, but I don't want to rush to fit them in case the same thing happens.

I'm not quite sure how to go about diagnosing this kind of issue, since it worked fine then just burnt out?

Thanks.

Check all the wiring, sounds like a short circuit somewhere.
