Good cars, The old Mondeos handle well too. Rare to see one without gaffer tape and rot these days!

Did wonder that myself, My 6 pot averages 25 mpg which would hurt on a daily lol

Been in a couple of these. As said, comfortable. Just don't go gaffa taping it when you dent it like every other mondeo owner lol

Good chassis on these, and you can't knock 160bhp and 62k for £350.

Not many of these around without duct taped bumpers to be fair!

Chap at work had the later version in performance blue, looked lovely, but he was crippled on fuel. More of a smooth cruiser than 'fast' IMO though, they make a lovely noise though!
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

Atleast you used colour coded tape Pete haha!

My dad had about 4 or 5 of this shape mondeo, only 1.8 and 2.0 petrols though. He kept buying them for ~£400 running them till MOT and scrapping for another one as there were loads about lol. None of his were duct taped either though!

Im currently £60 out of pocket due to fuel since Saturday lol.
My own fault though. Just gotta clog it everywhere. Few little niggles like cental locking playing up and a wobnle on the steering wheel about 80. No major problems though. Da da da da daaa, im loving it.

Thats on of the benefits of getting on a bit mate. Cheap insurance on big engined cars. Gives you more to spend on fuel and beer. We'll have to meet sometime mate.
Picturs or maybe bowling, see how it goes. Few glasses of wine and back to mine. Lol.

Lot of car for the money and quite good on fuel for the engine size my brother had the later mk3 one the only down size on his one was the amount for road tax it cost a fortune out of interest how much is 6 months on this I guess its done on the older and cheaper tax basis for this one.

Can just see you two in a double-act actually...

That's a lot of car for £350 mate, fair play! Rather you than me on the fuel though. Confused
