Thanks I can fully appreciate that. But it's preventing him making a sale and myself from getting what I need

Just take the time to look around the site, and post up some more details of your car in this thread Smile Having the 10 post limit is actually to protect the buyer and seller, so as much as I understand your frustration please understand it's here to help you Smile

10 posts is also very little.. Some forums require like 200 posts even to view the for sale section...

Take a browse through some project threads =)

Well it will be good to chat here to some of you briefly. I just hope he still has it for sale.
I have driven an old 405 straight d estate when I did my driving test 10 years ago.

Then I enjoyed a brief stint with a 106d 1.5 which had a certain charm of frugle motoring.
I then used it in the scrappage scheme to get a Smart car turbo diesel!

The 106 I got for £200 and spent around the same on it. New battery and brake lines. Brakes were not the best you would hit them and then realize after a bit no matter how hard you pressed the braking didnt get any stronger lol.
The smart car was bought to have minimal running cost and after a year it was out the door for a 1.6d Cmax due to an addition to the family! The smart car didnt really impress with the real world fuel consumption figures I got. Wasn't much better than the 106d

I got bored of the cmax performance but the handling was really nice and all the different ways you can change the seating layout was novel. Now I'm all about a mk1 leon FR Tdi

That's the daily driver which for me ticks every box you could every wish for in a daily driver.
Practical, good handling, standard body kit to stand out from the humdrum, plenty of scope for modding if you get bored of standard, economical AND has good performance compared to most daily drivers.

But THIS is my addiction: Mk3 Mr2 1.8 with turbo conversion

Yeah it's super fun, you need to concentrate in the wet.
Its the most performance/ running cost I can afford and it satisfies me so that's all I could ask for.
Would love to try a GTR if money was no object 'within reason' seen a lambo superleggera at my local petrol station last week and sure it was loud and went like a scalded cat but I don't think I would part with that kind of money from what I saw. Far rather have the sound of a turbo spooling up!
