r70 pump swap

Can anyone confirm that a r70 high pressure pump on a 2001 306 hdi can be fitted as a
direct swap and as from what I can find should be able to run on the standard ecu settings as I have just bought a poor running 306 and suspect the high pressure pump to be faulty and a mate has a r70 pump in good condition I can get for beer money hope this makes sense thanks.

Yes and yes, assuming the r70 is off an 8v HDi obviously lol.

Thanks for that yea the pump was fitted to a 2001 406 110bhp before being smashed into and then written off by the insurance company thanks for your help.
