Heater Motor Squeal
#1
Hi peeps, you may already know about this one or have a different / better fix (or bodge lol) but I thought I'd share.

My heater motor was squealing after being on a while and was proper doing my nut in (common 306 issue so I've been told) so what I did was drop the motor out and gave it a very liberal spray with Mr Sheen (but I'm sure any brand of silicone based polish would work). Not only has this cured the head battering noise but the car smells lovely and clean lol

Let me know if you have the same problem and give it a go or what you done to fix it ........ other than change the motor

It's a fairly common thing I'm afraid. Take the blower motor out and grease it. Chances are it will work for a while, then start again. Will probably need replacing soon but have a grease and see Smile

The Mr Sheen has worked a treat for now but I'll see how long it lasts when it gets to winter. For how much effort it is I don't mind keep doing it, especially considering how much a new motor is =-O
