Fans should kick in somewhere around the 92/3 degree mark iirc.

yeah fans should come in well before 100.

85degrees is about optimum operating temp for performance and economy

and as regards a flush...
dishwasher tablets, drain system, pop a couple in, fill with water, get up to operating temp, drain, flush with water and refill with 3 litres of long life (red) antifreeze and top up rest with water.
50/50 is overkill.

Fans don't kick in till 93 for low speed and (iirc) 112 for high speed. Mine runs at 80 all the time too

Hahah that's a nifty way of flushing the engine, damn sight cheaper than the proper stuff that's for sure. Now i just need to find someone with a dishwasher... ninja
