Hi guys, I'm new here but really would like your help. I'm trying to relive my youth and bought a 306 cabriolet. I didn't pay much for it so wasn't too bothered the roof didn't work. But I would like to get it going if I can.
I have two pumps, two relays and three control boxes for the roof, but all I can get is a click at the roof relay. I can hear the relay click but the pump won't spring into life. I can't believe I have two duff relays but that's the next thing to try. I have tried the manual roof reset and the relay still clicks but no pump action.
If I bypass the relay I can get the roof pump to turn. Am I missing something obvious?? I am assuming that because the relay is clicking the sensors are telling the control box all the right messages for roof operation. Is there a level sensor for the hydraulic pump?
Help!!! as doing it manually I am certain I'm going to break the manual open and close bolt in the boot.
Look forward to hearing from you.
