Hehe yeah they are quite nice Smile

You and me both, it's actually really nice seeing most peoples reactions... especially as most of the people that have reacted aren't exactly VAG fans! I'm in love with it again, this time I'm finishing my plans from before and it ain't going anywhere.

Yeah definitely, see you Saturday?

I actually forgot to say I sorted my insurance renewal the other day. I know that isn't particularly exciting... Buuuut, it's now fully covered in every way, like for like on mods and audio cover. Plus, a new BHP limit of 230, so I'm free to slap on my FMIC and KO3S for no extra Big Grin winnar

May as well upgrade rather than replace lol well honestly don't know what they're worth, cost me around the £350 mark a fair few years ago........... £50? Lol I have changed the top half of the angles eyes to green but can easily change them back or to another colour? Il dig them out of the garage over the weekend and get some photos for you if you like?

Cheers man but I've got other priorities with this now and need to be careful with my money.

Been quite busy with this (unfortunately).

The other day coming back from Tesco, it developed a hesitation when I pulled away from a roundabout. Very useful and was like someone slammed on the brakes.

I couldn't find anything obvious after checking it over, so decided to just replace everything, as I needed to be in Poole the next day. So new oil, filter, fuel filter, plugs (bloody platinums...), cleaned the throttle body, MAF and anything else I could find related.

After that lot it ran really nice, pulled bloody strong, so I thought happy days... Until I went out the other night and the turbo sounded like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZ8cXtpfR...e=youtu.be

(0:22 onward, nothing to see as I was just holding the phone by the window).

It was "chirping" when pulling away in 1st when cold, but didn't do it other than that. So I'm now on the hunt for a turbo, which doesn't help the financial situation... Although, since that night, it seems to be behaving... and pulling really well. But obviously it's not well.

Other than that, I've been slowly claying the car. It's all done now, and it needed it:

So it's now all nice and smooth. Ready for this lot:

I managed to do 1 wing tonight and it's come up really well. This is without wax, as I'd run out and not realised. Will have to get some tomorrow.

Before:

Really chuffed with it, a lot more hard work to go though.

I have a full album of before shots so will put up the rest of the comparisons then.

Also got another mod to go on, hopefully tomorrow if I can get someone to help me...

Haha, wish I could say yes mate... Unfortunately not... I would love to go BT, but I don't want to end up with a "Rallye incident" on my hands lol. This isn't a performance mod...

More progress today.

Managed one whole side! (Minus the wing from yesterday...)

This is what was bugging me the most since I got it back... How he tried to remove sticker residue with a scourer?!

Also had the marks from when some scrote egged it sitting outside my mates house:

Just need to pick up some wax from Halfrauds tomorrow to keep it shining Smile.

Sorry about the volume of pictures but I was happy with that!

Oh, and got to decide where this is going:

Hmm, I was going to just get some Meguiars from Halfords tomorrow... You think it'd be worth the wait for some Blue Velvet? I know you rate it very highly.

Seriously, ive used megs wax before and was impressed with the result. Bought the dodo BV and its miles better. Its not cheap but ive done probably 5 cars with my tub now and its just started to make a indent in the wax. Probably easily get 30 more coats out of the pot! Alternatively if you want a liquid wax, Zymol is very good (and smells of bananas which is amazing!) doesnt last too long though

Sorry I didn't get back to your text Curt! I was busy on the weekend so didn't come out to play lol.

The car looks even more amazing though. Really epic job buddy Smile I'd love to come down if only to help out and just to watch you machine polish; I'd be very interested in learning how to do it myself Wink

Also, I got some Collinite 476s wax the other day; it's actually really good! I had to do the front end of the Meg a couple of weeks ago prior to the wrap, so spend a few hours with the clay polish and wax and the results imo were excellent! The wax is also very well priced given the quality! I'm looking forward to doing the rest of the car, but with the weather as it is I need some shade!

Also, have you tried bilberry wheel cleaner? OMFG, bought some the other day, it's bloody amazing stuff! Spray on, leave for 5minutes, wash off, and behold your minty-clean wheels Smile Well worth it; I'll bring some down if you want if we organise a detailing day soon! Big Grin

It's well worth finding it, makes a big difference. The '6 would come up well too, the paint is really good.

No worries man, I figured Tongue

Cheers bud, I'm pleased with it. Well, that one side lol. Obviously you're welcome to, although I pretty much make it up as I go along like most things, so may not be the best person haha.

I bought some Blue Velvet last night in the end, hopefully be here in the morning. But that sounds good too! Yeah the heat is a bastard for this, hence why I've been doing it in the evenings. When I finished and took the pics above it was like 9:15 so getting dark!

I haven't, but I've thought about it as you can dilute it. I need something that's is safe for my polished lips... But I've heard good things!

I should be about this coming Saturday/Sunday if you're up for it? But yeah we should organise a detailing day and get everyone out!
