Briefly, a little while ago I did an engine transplant on my ZX Volcane.
I had to fit a new stop solenoid to the diesel pump as part of the swap and all ran well at normal and cruising speeds.
If larger throttle openings were used whilst on boost the car abruptly stopped but would always restart etc
After a bit of head scratching I checked the wiring to the solenoid and all was well, you could hear it clicking but it sounded rather weak.
A bit more investigation of other things but I always came back to the solenoid.
Yesterday I took it apart, removed the plunger and spring, hey presto all is well and flat out throttle is not a problem again!
I'm only posting this as most people think the solenoid is either open or shut but mine was closing on heavy fuel demands causing my problems and it was brand new!
Just worth a look if you're having similar pronblems
