Haha I think it's all down to personal choice at the end of the day. There will never be a "perfect" turbo for the hdi because its all down to what the driver wants, I did my homework and my set up appealed to me, the gt20 may appeal to others and the stock blowers for normal people haha. You could fit almost any turbo if your willing to mod the car appropriately... The op really needs to specify what setup he has and what he wants before everyone starts advising and whipping out the bigger better turbo card.

No it wouldn't pellowe, too much boost causes overspeeding - that what's the wg is for. :p What fuel pump you're using or power output doesn't make the blindest bit of difference to the turbo. 190bhp might be a realistic target for an XUD, but as pointed out, HDis can make a lot more power with the same turbo, simply because they are better, obviously.
But yeah, you could do exactly that, might take a while to reach full boost, but personally i reckon it'd be awesome.
