Hammerite spray paint

Just wondering if anyone has used the hammerite spray paint before? I usually use the normal hammerite but i got a few bits im giving a clean and looking to give it some paint and wondered how gooder job the spray paint makes

It's epic but seriously nasty stuff if you inhale the fumes.

it's good, i sprayed all four of my dispatch wheels with one tin and 3 years on it's still not bad . .

Its pricy but i would say its the best widely available spray going! Well worth the extra money

Trago mills , molevalley farmers but they dont have the full range of colours only the common ones
or amazon if you find free delivery

What price did you find it for?

I've found £8.45 on eBay. Going to try chaplans in Taunton this weekend

Well Cully's gold ones looked good when I saw them, I didn't have that close of a look tbf

hammerite smooth from a spray tin gives a good finish
i only use neat TRF from a pressure washer tank, rinsed with water to clean then with a brush so its quite hard wearing too

remember good prep is the key for any paint finish

also i found it easyer to stop runs buy spraying onto warm work surface with warm tins of paint
when i did my wheels i had then under 500w halogen flood lamps so they were warm

Awesome stuff. I've painted wheels, engines, brakes and even an exhaust with it and it always sticks.

Top tips are warm cans, warm surface and dont prep it too fine, 800 grit is probably fine.

I have painted a few bits with it now and am pretty please with them.

I got some brake calipers to paint so what do you guys think about using the spray for them? I usally use the normal stuff to do brakes

Used it on my rocker covers and inlet and done half my engine bay. Looks good but is still fresh so I hope it would hold up!

prep surface; I sprayed it straight onto a trailer load cover frame I made last summer, just found out that its flaking off after my son has been chaining his bike to it overnight !!
lesson learnt-------scotch pad steel tubing next time !!

Going to paint my slam panel with hammerite tody a few things up.

I was going to paint it anth. But I think it would be to much hassle to sand it all down to paint it properly then when I re attach it you know itll scratch. Where as hammerite it will look tidy still.

I've used this on my brake callipers. Looks almost like a powder-coat finish. Resists the heat fine, and resist brake dust well too
