Modified to fit fairly easy you use the base of the berlingo seats get rid of the 306 runners then bolt it in. 306 seats have 4 holes you can use to bolt it down to one of holes is covered by tube . Fairly straight forward takes an hour or do to do aseat

I'm thinking if sticking with silver looks cleaner for longer and a bit more professional looking. There's a lot of vans around here on husk fords specials and look tacky! Although smart set of banded steels could look good!

Have you just clayed it, then rotary polished it? What pad/polish did you use to bring back a shine like that? Smile

Yup clayed then rotary on menzerna p2500 with menzerna white pad sealed then paste waxed

Well as some will see fitted some later partner berlingo p bushes for the mot. Which its still going to fail!

Also did this as well

Gutted the dpf kept the box as the popo round here are clueless and like to cause havoc for business vans thinking they have loads of spare money to waste!

What p bushes did you have before, 306 ones or berlingo, I'm just trying to work out what size bolt I need to kit berlingo bushes to a 306 - any ideas?

well its been a while...
Engines being a typical xud plenty of abuse and boost. currently not sure what psi im running etc litterally stock k14 turbo with fuel turned up a tad. its nippy and pulls me up the hills!

Made myself my own upper strut brace with master cylinder stop rippthrough thinks its a master piece.. but with the M/C i can now feel the van breaking well i could after i swopped the calipers over seen as though one side had seized on its slider pins effectively making it useless! only issue is due to making it a tight fit on the intercooler and shagged engine mount the engine taps on it in reverse.

P-bushes both mine have failed. This could be down to many aspects rallying down gravel farm tracks? heavier pay loads? bad fitment angle? odd collision with curbs? or Shit rubber? Il never really know but probably a combination of all of them. either way after talking to Ripp he pointed out that it appears pug have superceded the old design for the new design on service box quick look and low and behold they have £44 later i now have a genuine set of new design bushes. going to get some front bushes two was going to get lemforder but ecp are out of stock.

Gearbox oil. mines pisses it out for fun after changing engine these were the last thing on my mind. must have used around 6l of fluid. first good oil 2nd what ever the f*ck i could find in the work shop most likely tractor gearbox or beam axle fluid 3rd lot Rippthrough special of mix those 2 together haha! any way iv actually order some genuine seals to and putting in some castrol syntrans oil in for good measure!

going to buy a new engine mount push that in and for sake of a fiver do the litlle bush also! learned my lesson from the nice billet ally bush so oem for me just rotate it around.

last but not least recently purchased some cyclones of mr cheese and put brand spanking Rainsport 3's on all four corners. literally do believe this is the first car iv owned with brand spanking new tyres all round! so yeah vans getting some love for once.

Mot has been and gone passed with no advisories that said id told the MOT tester what was wrong with the van in the first place most of which he said it wouldnt fail on. But the place i took it to is a regular customer and so seat full of parts and trust it passed.

couple of days later....

[Image: 716FBA5A-67D3-401D-9F2A-24FA06BB0262_zpsi0zeasri.jpg]

few niggles with the van that all mounted up to it being easier to pull the engine and do it all out of the van and tidy things up. so first up sorting the rusty wings not an MOT failure but rust spread so out it came and in went new. Welded on both sides and seam sealed. Bit of a comman problem on these vans due to PSA For some strange reason not seam sealling from the turrets forward.

Then just to make sure undesealed the underside
[Image: 12B91A58-D768-4CA1-B181-9A5E90F64301_zpst87nk2wy.jpg]

Under sealed and painted up

So onto the engine side of things
Engine partially stripped to replace

Head Gasket
Steam Seals
Fire seals
Copper
Seals
Sump re seal
rocker cover seal
Crank seal fly wheel
crank seal aux side
cam seal HDi bolts

Basicaly new seals all round also replaced gearbox seal again

Then all back together.
[Image: 8A1B1EB9-128C-48AB-9C0C-857200357494_zpshjhovrnf.jpg]

So engine has been running great but still had slight water usage. Which was one reason why i decided to do the engine overhaul. i did notice also radiator has slight leak so sorted a new one. Few Days Later still minor water usage but now a sweet smell and misting windows! so yup heater matric was an issue also suprisingly easy to do on these done with 3 hours

[Image: B74EB2B4-82F1-4E0B-822A-BCCC35D57527_zpsfjnez9jv.jpg]

also while dash was out sorted the interior iluminations which suddenly had stopped few months ago

Now up for sale! Have i have a new bigger van so this is no longer required price may seem high compared to 306's but this has a completely different market and has had allot of major work done recently. ideal for a 306 owner as the front end on wards is pratically a 306.

Here i have my trusty Citroen Berlingo 600 LX van. Its on a 1999 S reg and has a lot of major work more than your usual ebay "major" work. Its currently on 153,000 miles i purchased it around 122,000 its a diesel peugeot citroen engine which last for 100,000s of miles. iv looked after it and serviced it on regular occassions including twice on its current engine alone this year.

The engine in this van has been changed from the DW8 slow straight diesel engine to a Xud Diesel turbo engine around Febuary at 130,000 ish miles. The XUD9TE which is one of the PSA groups best engines there simply to run fix and maintain using no ECU or fancy electronics. The engine in standard form runs at 89bhp this one has most likely got a little more oomph behind it due to minor tune up.why PSA didnt put this engine in these van in the first place i dont know as the straight diesel engine is gutless up hills. The XUD shares the same mounting points gearbox wiring as the original engine the DW8 is a little more modern engine sharing the same xud bottom end. The XUD engine is simply plug and play and 100% safe. Before the swop the XUD engine had new cambelt new tensioners and waterpump and aux belt as well as a service including oils and filters.

It currently has mot untill 26th of August 2015 no Tax Due the recent stupid law The vehicle is mechanically sound and will prove to be a reliable workhorse for the next owner. In September this year i recently did some major work inlcuding sorting some rust issues that most of these vans are now facing main one being in the front wheel arches although not an MOT Failure its best to stop the spread. The engine was removed and both front wheel arches had the rotten metal removed to good metal, rust converted then new metal placed and welded on both sides. More rust converter applied to the whole front end, Seam sealed then undersealed and painted.

The engine while out had the following done to it
New timming side crank seal
New flywheel side crank seal
New Cam Seal
New Rocker cover seal
New valve stem seals
New Headgasket
New HDi head bolts
New Cambelt
Head skim
Valve clean and polish
New lower coolant block and gasket
New oils and Filters
Gearbox had new drive shaft seals and oil
Also had a new thicker DT Radiator

The tensioners and water pump hadnt covered many miles and still in perfect condition so were reused only covering 7,000 miles of ther 75,000 mile change interval. In effect the engine had a good overhaul that wouldnt need to be done for many 1,000s of miles even over 100,000 miles! This van can run on 100% veg oil and i have done for many 1000s of miles treating it to diesel as well This is down to the Bosch mechanical fuel pump. On most occasions it ran a mix of both providing good performance as well savings. You can get Veg oil as little as 65p a liter for new or 30p for filtered used and all perfectly legal.

The front suspension arms have been overhauled having had new ball joints when first purchased and recently had genuine peugeot updated rear p bushes the front bushes were replaced with pattern part ones as well as droplinks and anti roll bar bushes. there ar no knocks or bangs on this van and wont for a while to come.

Internal
Inside iv fitted after market remote central locking, recently replaced the blower motor and heater matrix after a leak. It is ply lined with ply bulkhead and speakers. It has a heavy duty rubber floor in the rear as well as darkened windows and window guards. The front seats have been replaced with ones out o a 306 and are supporting and comfortable. I have also fitted a Multi space upper self in the front cab for more storage.

External
The van isnt in the best of conditions as these vans do dent easily. The van prior to me hadnt really been looked after iv smartened it up allot reviving the paint. The van has had areas of filler on the drivers side but is strutually safe never been an issue or concern to me. being 100% honest here with a little bit more attention and time it can look good. But the bonus of the van is the important bits are mechanically sound. The Van is sat on 15" 306 cyclone alloys with Uniroyal Rainsports 3's one of the best wet tyres you can get and have covered less than 3,000 miles.

Given the mot and recent work done to it in september i am asking for offers around £650 this van is future proof and major know problems like the rust sorted properly. The recent overhaul of the engine will prove to be a reliable for many years yet again making the van future proof this van wouldnt need servicing for another year!

Viewing is welcome and encouraged. Test drives will be done by myself as your insurance will highly likely not cover you to drive this vehicle due to it being comercial. You can drive the vehicle with the correct insurance proven and with full cash amount in my hands. The vehicle is what earns me money so no risks will be taken with out both. All Stickers will be removed before sale and van given a once over for the new owner.

van would make a good sleeper project or just an honest nippy work horse.

Reason for selling is due to needing a bigger van to which is sat waiting to be used.
