Radiator fans ... Which one?
#1
Hey guys. Looking to replace the twin fan set up and horribly bulky cowling on the rallye . Rebuild will start next week and was wondering if anyone had any advice or bought any of eBay? Any help / info on what to look for would be spot on. :-)

Cheap ones work fine, expensive ones are 10-20% better flowing but 200-1000% more expensive.

Get the biggest thing you can wedge between the cross member and the slam panel and till be reet. You can get a 16" on a 306

So your saying go for a £20er over a £120 plus unit for pound per buck? Think I will be going for twin fan again so probs two 9 or 10 inch . Any particular watts?

The cheap ones are all the same essentially Id sit down and work out the area of 2 small ones compared to 1 big one and go for whatever gives the larger blown area.

Also 1 big one will be cheaper, less wiring, less current draw and the outer edges of the blades will be going faster.

Oh and don't be tricked by the cheap ones with "curved blades like a £ra*e fan" as they probably wont move any useful amount of extra air.
