All easy fixes mate bar the beam.

fit a cat, fit some bulbs, drop links, steering gaiter and cable ties will sort the fuel filter, and a hand brake cable, EASY.

yup im considering a recon beam with a garentee, their price is good
they charge no more for fitting or lowering than the beam price alone to me

the reason for this is it puts value to the car

i bought the car last night after viewing it in the afternoon and walking away, only to contact the guy, who then dropped the price only if i picked up on monday, but i was unable to so said "now" to which he agreed so i made a second trip to get the car on the same day

i put it in for mot today to give me a fix list Wink

Well done bud, you got the car at the price you wanted to pay which is what you felt it was worth.
Just got to get your hands dirty for a bit and save a few pennies to get the paint sorted next year just in time for show season Smile

tobe honest ash its not to bad, bloody good for a 16 year old car
first priority once the ticket is sorted is the locking as the RCL not happy
i know the hatch lock motor is missing and the pasanger door lock button is sticking in the card
but i think thats a minor issue

regarding the beam
the place thats doing it has no GTI6 beams at the mo so im told,
but when you deliver the car to them to have it done, they refurb the beam whilst its on the car
so looks like mine will be refurbed, they also make all the shafts/pins and stuff on site.
its being delivered bankholiday monday and they want the car two days tues weds,
cambelt, handbake, droplinks, all the rest of the MOT stuff is being done on saturday
MOT is Booked for thursday next week !
so weston Meet for its first run looks good, fingers crossed
