I reckon my brother and i can do it for £1500 all in. We're planing on doing it properly, lots of laps, evening entertainment, etc, but then again we've got a diesel so some money saved there. Will start researching tomorrow so i can do a proper costing.

Jonny, you got a route in mind for next year yet bud?

I'm undecided as yet about the big trip, it is epic but also any more than 4 cars would be, well, interesting lol

Just keeping in convoy is bad enough, let alone navigating a foreign country

Trust me, it can be a ballache. Especially in, for example, Brussels. Where they think they're still at war and have no road signs what so ever.

It would depend on numbers though wouldnt it? There was 4 cars this year and the breakdowns were manageable even with random bits failing/dropping off. But with 10 cars, not a chance of doing the same trip in time. We had radios this time and we still got split up now and again and did take some guess work finding each other.
I would love to do the Europe trip again though! Still cant get over how good it was

Best idea I can come up with would be to split into groups of 4, possibly 5. Tom is there any way you could supply enough radios?

Just a thought but how about making it the few days before the April camping meet so we can just convoy to wherever camping is that way it's just 1 block off work and packing the car for 1 trip.

Martyn only your car had bits falling off.......

And yea could possibly get away with that jonny. Probs make it a 2week trip instead of 9days and take a good selection of spares each ect for any break downs/blowing of the engines

Must admit, i think perhaps a euro-trip with many more than last year's numbers would be too difficult to manage, way too many opportunities to get in trouble for starters lol. And as you guys say, would be a struggle to keep everyone together.

Making it longer also makes it more expensive Ash, some of us have got bills to pay. Tongue

Possibly although work would probably want it paid for a week is normaly 7.50 per radio i think..
