**** inconsistent brake pedal ****
#1
have been having problems with my brakes they have been working ok not a problem,
but the pedal has been at different levels and feel different on each push

what i have found today by accident is the small link pipe from the engine to the bulkhead was completely flat sucked in by the vacuum

i have replaced the pipe it was perished and lost its flexibility
now i have a consistent pedal

cheap easy fix

Carefully cut open the braiding on that flexi pipe Cully........I'll almost guarantee you the rubber pipe inside has split mate.

Mine had the same issue a while back......looked like this inside

Two 30mm long splits on opposite sides of the pipe!

If it's not the flexi hose it could well be the one way valve on the servo where the vacuum line from the pump goes into it mate.

It was both these on mine causing the problem

Which pipeline is this? Can't really tell from the picture where it is.

It's from the vacuum line off the vac pump that sits on the top right hand side of the engine. This flexi hose is between the metal pipe coming off the pump itself and the metal pipe that runs across the bulkhead. From there it goes underneath the master cylinder where there's another couple of flexi pipes before it connects to a one way valve on the top left hand side of the servo unit.
