Get a proper engine before you worry about maps. Dont even attempt to make the 1.4 any faster..

One of my best mates remaps cars for a living, he is constantly seeing the damage done by these.
All they do is inject more fuel, not worth it in the long run.

thanks lads, just seen it on ebay, and im not doing anything to the 1.4 shes getting sold, and im getting a d turbo, was just wondering would it be worth buying, but i see its not Smile

I like how the advert says its not just a resistor and shows a picture of a really crappy looking chip on a pcb lmao

Fundamentally they work by telling the ecu that air is colder and denser than it actually is, so the ecu injects more fuel. Trouble is, the air ISNT colder and denser, so the fuel mixture just runs really rich. Might see a slight change in midrange punch but top end will definitely suffer and mpg will plummet.

Same effect as just unplugging the lambda. Just do that actually. Then when your engine dies from bore wash and fuel in the oil, at least you saved yourself £15

Dturbo's mechanical anyway, so i guess theyre part of the 1percent the mod doesnt work with lol

Mmhmm. The same up to +30bhp that saw a skyline get an extra 83bhp.

It was at a racetrack though so must be true.
