how much is it woth?

i can buy a 106 gti with 105k no tax and test for abou £700. it has had alot spent on it


its an s reg 1998 model.

Supersprint race system (standard centre pipe and cat also included, will fly through an emissions test with it on)
powerflex lower engine mount large bush and baker bm small bush

gaz front coilovers, new strut top mounts fitted at same time, shortly before that it had new hub flanges and wheel bearings
lowered approx 35mm all round
powerflex rear axle bushes
powerflex front arb bushes

brakes
red dot 20 groove discs and ferodo ds2500 pads front
rears 8 groove discs mintex 1144 pads
omp braided hoses
bosch dot 4 brake fluid

wheels white 205 gti alloys could probably do with a touch up.

rest of the car... de-badged de-wipered boot
raised bonnet
Car also comes with spare set of steel wheels and standard manifold


Bad points.. scratch on passenger door, usual stone chips on front end.



i was thinking of mot an taxing it refurb the wheels an sell it. is it worth it???

I'd say do it. As said its worth more than that in parts. The beauty I these cara is you can fix them on a shoestring. So providing your handy with tools you could potentially fix it for not a lot at all.

Engine's worth £400 with that spec any day of the week, probably more if you split the cams, pulleys, exhaust etc and sold separately. I'd go for it tbh, and as said these cars usually only fail MOT's on simple stuff like balljoints and bushes.
