get it anodized blue or red to match the detail in the engine bay
think you need some contrast to all the black Smile

or leave intercooler as it is and get black pipes

sorry about the further lack of photoshop haha

is it a good idea to paint an intercooler? surely paint is going to reduce how effective the heat exchange rate is across the fins, like forming an insulating layer between the aluminium and the air.

if you wanted a black cooler the proper way would be to get it anodized imo

Uhmm i dont think one quick layer of flat black paint wil do much damage... + the intercooler is massive Wink

Painting it makes no difference.

You can get intercoolers in different colours anyway.

intercoolers that you buy colored are anodized, i just have my doubts about how good paint will look just sprayed on, getting a good finish would be pretty hard would it not with all the thousands of fins to coat and sharp edges?

Paint isn't going to affect its efficiency.

I'd be worried about stone chips, they soon get fluked up when painted.

I think it looks spot on as it is tbh, maybe just get small black mesh to take your eyes off the 'bam' in your face look.

Birk on your 3doors in the past how did you smooth the doors? Did you have them welded like I did on my 5 door?

And I did not think a think a thin layer of paint would affect it.
