Cost too much to repair unfortunately I reckon. It's pretty buggered tbh. Could reshell it but that's a fair bit of work. Sure everyone would chip in though seeing as it was a bloody nice car!

I'd say it was definatley worth buying back from insurers anyway. It would cost alot. But was such a bloody nice car.
Think we should arrange a "help Maria fix the rallye fund"? Smile

Wouldn't be too expensive to buy back but well worth doing even if she just sold all the decent parts from it.

Get a white shell, lots of us from here and some bacon sandwiches and I reckon we could have it done In a weekend Smile

Could always swap the parts to mine Wink the car was porno. Was thinking you could even make some decent money back if you just take all the parts off and break it for spares.

Nah won't be a cat B. will be a C. Looking at the pics it's held up quite well and most of the damage is panel damage. Would only be a catB if there was major chassis damage or fire damage. And unless it spontaneously caught fire last night (wouldn't surprise me, it is a pug) then it looks good to me. That would be cheap to buy back I reckon.

Ye but the actual cost of the car and the price to repair are considered so I think it would be a b. my mate had someone reverse into his rear quarter and dent it a bit and it was a cat c.

Thing is even if it ended up as a cat b, you can still buy it back but it can just never go back on the road. So you'd buy it back then just let the pikeys take the shell away when your done with it. Simples.

If you have a way of getting it there then do it! We just let the pikeys take the shell of the car we broke.

Scrap prices are fairly good at the mo. a family friend owns a recovery truck and he took my girlfriends old ford ka away. Got 180 for it in the end.

Unfortunatly i think this is going to end up as one less rallye on the road. I doubt we would raise enough anyway it is too much work :-(

my opinion is that its to far gone. sorry to say. could be wrong.
but saying that, anything is fixable, just a mater of price.
we could set up a fix it for maria fund but to be truthfull would we really raise that much money?
the bill would run into £1000's.
will maria be getting any insurance of it? if so we could maybe all chip in and do our bit to build another shite hot rallye.

No offense to Maria and I'm not trying to cause problems, I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but if it was anyone else who crashed their car (no matter how nice it was), then I doubt there be any suggestion of starting a fund to fix it...

When I said about the fund, I was kidding. Clearly it would be alot to sort and the club has other things to spend money on.

Like the "help respray matts car fund" pm me for details how to donate Smile

Check my forsale thread and buy stuff. I then make money Wink
