Selling a car
#1
Right lads and ladettes! Im selling a car on behalf of my girlfriend, its currently up on autotrader, i had aomeone Intrested, we swapped a few emails and such. Now the last one he sent was

"Thanks for your response..I'm quite satisfied with the condition and
price, and I need you to understand that i am willing and ready to
purchase it right away, end the advert, consider me as your favorite
buyer. I will be paying the PayPal charges (3.4%) from my account and will be
paying directly into your PayPal account without any delay, and I hope
you have a paypal account. If you have one already, just send me the
address to send it to, which is the email address you use for it or
you can send me a paypal money request, so once i receive the details
i will go ahead with the payment through PayPal and then I will
contact my shipping company after you get the payment. I will need
your home address for it to be Picked Up by the Shipping Company..

Regards."

Now is it me or does something just seem not right... The only questions he has asked so far is "what's the best price you can do?"

He hasnt been to see it either.. What are you thoughts?

DONT TOUCH IT!

Seriously, i had over 10 of these when selling my Saab. Its a con. They put the money in your account or send you a cheque and even when its cleared, somehow (not quite sure how) they can get the money back so your left with no money or car.

Forward the email onto auto trader as well. This is a big problem on there so they will be happy to find out who it is and report it to the police.

i try to avoid autotrader at all costs due to this. pistonheads is a better place for selling cars as people who use pistonheads tend to actually have an interest in cars

As everyone says avoid using paypal, they will just put in a dispute and take your money.
