Your First Car!

My first car was a g reg polo breadvan that I was given. 90k full service history. It was sat on someone's drive for 4 years but it still went for its regular service and mot by Volkswagen it was a minter and the bloke gave it to me work thing I ever did was swap it for my first road car which was.... 1.6 16v mk1... Mondeo!!! loved it what a car cracked front bumper where I hit something within 2 days dinted hatch and cracked bumper to go with it where I hit a post 2 alloys on back 2 bold stellies on front where I over tightened a nut and ended up drilling the wheel off. Sold it to my dad for £100 who had it for 6 months as a work bourse then my mamma had it and clutch went on her so we sold it for £250 never once let any of us down apart from clutch.

I havnt quiet got to that point of driving one that moves itself so this was my car! Was horrible when it rain, no windows to do up, so if a bird plopped yuu got it in the face!

paid £200 for it and the insurance was £200 for 12 months thirdparty fire and theft for a new driver

Mine was a 1.6 Renault Scenic... Was an epic road-trip wagon, but otherwise not quite suited. Thinking about it, that one came off the road sideways too, should have learnt my lesson then really...

Well heres the pics of my pov spec miami......on the clones first, them back on the 13" steels to sell lol.





Soon got bored of it being crap and pov spec........so sold if for £900 after 9 months ownership (3 months as provisional though) and bought a meridian instead, you'd think I'd have learnt my lesson about buying pov spec cars....but after a few more cars I bought a pov spec golf!

Oh and just one last on in the snow lol.....

1st car was the 106, then I bought the dt, then the '6.

Now the '6 is off the road & I've bought back the same 106 off my uncle to hack about and save for shiny bits for the '6 in summer

Mercifully i have no pictures but my 1st car was.........

Vauxhall Nova 1.2 Merit in white.

It got lowered, pipercross dome filter on the carb, over the top stereo system, stylish hub caps and cherry bomb exhaust Yo!!!

Ha, i guess i've kind of gone backwards now i think about it:
started with a scenic (ageing dad), then a mint diesel hatchback (new dad trying to be sensible), then a XSi engined cabby (FUN!), then a knackered diesel hatch (first "proper" car), now a 106 (student)...

It was completely MINT when i had it then got destroyed by the guy who bought it :/

Learned in me mams micra, 1.0 Twincam power!!!! great car until i wrote it off few yards from the house.
First car of my own was a mk3 n/a diesel golf - Hated every minute of it!
then got a phase 2 xldt 306, loved that car. (only sold it cos the VRT was the price of the car!)
Then had a VW caddy van again hated it(same engine as golf) - Broke it after it wouldnt retest
Then got a Sigma Blue D-Turbo, Engine blew headgasket after 3 days ownership- Ended up Breaking it i was that pissed off with it.
Next Diablo Red phase 1 D-Turbo, drove for a few weeks, engine slipped timing and still havent gotten it fixed
Bought a xsara dturbo to get me about for 180 euro, drove it for nearly a year, nct up so currently being broken
Bought a 1.4 306 to get me by - Currently for sale!
Bought a Phase 1 XTDT cos petrol sucks arse! -Cheap motoring and bosch FTW

so 8 road cars in 8 years of driving, not a bad record, also had about 5 purely for parts/spares, im a glutton for punishment/french shit!

I know mate spoke to u before about it. Was trying to find info about the welsh lad - what makes u say its off the road? how much did u sell it for?

It wasnt on the insurance database last week, I got a snotty PM from the lad on .net a few months back saying the HG had gone and turbo was shot, and that i'd sold him it like it (bearing in mind he drove it from Norwich to Wales like it, and had it for 2-3 months before moaning about it?!... I smell bullshit)

my first car was a 318IS bougt it 1.5years after passing my test
(didn't need a car as i got a work van as soon as i passed!!)
bought it with a rattling cam-chain
4-2-1 manifold & decat s/s exhaust
K/n filter

so i put a new chain guides on it
striped interior & welded the diff.
DRIFT!!!

sold it due to baby on the way & sick off putting tyres on it
