Possibly Broken My Turbo, Advice Please. **Update: Post 4**
#1
I think I've popped my turbo, it's working for now but is making some new noises. It's a T2 and boosts to 28psi. While leaving some traffic lights the other day and putting my foot down it made a strange whining noise as I floored it before letting off to change gear. It now does this when I go for max boost, something which I'm not as don't want it to go completely.

It whistles normally anyway because it's de-filtered but it making noise earlier than it used to now which is worry. Does this sound like it's going to blow very soon?

If so my next question will be kind of obvious lol

if its de-filtered easy enough to pop your hand down and see if theres any shaft play.

I've had two K14's that sounded like police sirens, didn't pop even after a few thousand miles - ones still going.

So could be that you've just bent a fin / blade by sucking up a pebble or something running without a filter.

Had a little read up and now looking at a TD04, the one for sale on here with the K14 manifold.

If it's the right model, will that fit fine without any exhaust modifications?

From what I've read I need oil lines made up, is that it?

Won't be fitting it myself, will be taking it to KrisB(hopefully) so want to make sure everything is sorted.
