HKS EGT wiring?
#1
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for one of these? I'm a bit stumped TBH, I can only get the backlight to work, the gauge wont give a reading..

I have a HKS gauge, wiring is pretty simply, should be two spare wires with connectors on the end that you dont need / if you connect together should sweep the gauge to test...

Ill try and get down workshop later and take a photo, dont use it anymore.

Cheers mate that'd be great if you could. Just to check, if I connected it up and heated the thermocouple with a cigarette lighter, it should read shouldn't it?

Nah wouldnt be near hot enough..

Put a blowtorch near the end of it / heat gun and ull start to activate it

Takes few seconds for probe to warm up / react also

I bought a stack one after that as my HKS one was always really dodgy for some reason, think it costs about 120 iirc

That'll be it then lol, I assumed a lighter would be enough to get it to register a reading.

I got it second hand, I want a Stack one to match my other gauges, but for some reason they're twice the price of the boost and oil temp gauges I got.

Cheers Darren. I wasn't making it hot enough lol

Jonny did you ever sort the wiring on this?
I have a HKS gauge as well with the following wiring colours;

Yellow
Grey
White
Red
Black

Any ideas?
My thoughts would be;

Yellow - ?
Grey - ?
White - ?
Red - Positive
Black - Negative
