Are the 406/Xantia 2.0 HDi 110/90 bhp gearboxes the same as the 90bhp 306 boxes?
Looking to fit a HDi box into the 205 XUD and my local scrap yard has plenty of 110 and 90 406's.
What else is needed for the conversion from a BE2 box (1.8D XUD)?
Cheers!

might i ask why your after an hdi box? true they have bigger gaps in the ratios for overall economy but in my opinion its kinda pointless if you want a fast xud as its all about the acceleration in these.
not too sure if the 406 hdi box is exactly the same as the 306 one, but i cant imagene it would be very different. you will need a donar xud gearbox to swap the puller mechanism over to the hdi box, fairly simple to do
if you want a quick box with a slightly longer 5th gear, have a look into a 405 dturbo gearbox

I THINK the 406 110 box has a different number of splines. Just something you might wanna check.

I have a 1.9DT BE3 box already but thought I'd go for a BE4 this time.

The 110 box's are ml5 and have different splines and duel mass flywheels.
