well it would certainly appear to be your traditional xud9 missing the intercooler and with a lucas pump

Itll be a 306 1.9DT engine from N reg to T reg as it has a Lucas pump

Lucas pump looks like the older style? Also phase two had the pas pump above alternator didn't they? I would have said its phase 1/older engine.. check the engine code plate.

Dunno if its just me but that Lucas pump looks f*cking tiny.

Maybe it's because I'm constantly looking at a Bosch

Looking at the evidence then, early style Lucas, power steering at the bottom, non egr.....I'd say its a 95/96 engine then, more than likely its thrown a rod and had a new engine, good news is it probably won't be another DHY
