OR put up a budget thread if you want new things. (Bosch pump/turbo/front mount is fairly standard)

As for tuning: could be worth reading dans guide on tuning a Bosch: wouldnt waste time on a lucas

Bosch would only really be worth it if he was planning to run veg though?

That's one reason, aswell as ease of tuning, better flow with the injectors and generally a much easier pump to use

One thing about tuning these, its addictive. Stage one won't be enough, you will always want more, no matter what you tell yourself.

Meh the other lump is mega low miles and would be a shame to scrap it. Plus its de EGR already tuned and a known goodun. VS a high mileage unknow engine with a shat turbo. So is no question IMO

i'm not having this talk about it being a shit turbo, it just isn't mate, you need to realise there's summit wrong with your engine or turbo if you think a T2 is that much better . .Smile

If the pump is standard of course it's going to take ages to kick in, my ph1 with Bosch + k14 took ages to fully kick in when it was standard, it finally got going around 3k rpm. With more fuel it pulls well from 1.5k rpm.
My ph2 came with the Lucas and gt15, turned fuel upto max on the pump and went pretty well, smoke wasn't too bad and was nice to drive.
Don't know how a Lucas and a k14 would feel like but it will pick up a lot quicker if you turn up the fuel
