Just found this grand forum 'ere for us 306 jockies.
Mine's a '99 Ph.3 Hdi in Moonstone with 182,000 on the clock,
F/F Morettes(crap things)de-cat,de-EGR and a colour coded
tailgate spoiler(Ooohhh).
It's looking a tad poorly at the mo,I managed to tag the back end
of a Freelander a couple of weeks back(still driveable though),bent the
bonnet, bust the grille and put a superb hole straight through the bumper,
bending the a/c condenser, busting the fan shroud, adding a nice dent
to the slam panel vertical and giving the rad a slight leak, bollox.
Got all the shiny bits and a new(secondhand)rad though so with a bit of
hammer work on the slam panel's vertical and repair to the fan shroud
it should be back to it's shiny best.
Welcome
For the sake of 20 quid for a pattern slam panel, I would buy one. Speaking from experience they are nigh on impossible to straighten out and get at the right angle again so everything lines up! Fitting a me wine to mine was a bitch though. Had to get people pushing the inner wings in so that the holes lined up

I swore a bit I tell ye!!!.
Guess I am a 306 saddo,I've had Pugs for 20 years now(2 405's first),
had an XUD DTub before this one and I've had this for 8 years.
It wasn't 4 years old when I paid 6k for it with 90k on the clock.
I keep saying I'd like a new motor(BM 320d looks favorite when I do the deed),
but I just can't bring myself to part with the Pug,it still brings a silly grin on
when you boot it hard.
^^this! Dont often see a ph3 with morrettes, think that looks quit tidy. New bumper bonnet and slam pannel (about £150 topps from scrappy) and your back to good news mate.

The slam panel is very slightly off(I'll get a new 'un on it eventually),but the rad was
a real mare to do.
The bottom 'ose didn't want to come out at all and the lad almost buggered
the bayonety type fitting up but pulled off a superb recovery with some PTFE and racy sealant before re-fitting it all back in(he works in the water industry actually).
No1 son actually matey. He loves fiddling with cars,he's at that age(28)you see.
Yeah, the old thing does look alright again.
Just hope it passes it's MOT Friday on H/L alignment.
My tester mate will no doubt be giving it the old
"failed then passed, repaired on site"routine to keep his figures up
to scratch for the Min.Men.
He buggered up the inner lights a couple of years ago.
If you've had Morettes you'll know how cack the bulb holders are on the inners,
well the entire inners really :x .
Anyway,it went to matey for it's annual and when he's checking the lights.
"You got the left inner out there Miggs, turn 'em off a sec" he shouts and pulls
the bulb holder out ,has a fiddle then lays it on the slam rail :ugeek: .
"Turn 'em back on",I turn on the lights and pull the stalk for main beam,
something goes "BANG" hock: ,and that's the end of the inners.
My man says"Don't worry, you got mainbeam on the outers" shouts matey.
They've never worked since,I remind him about it at every MOT test!!!
