procta Wrote:tom, just get a set of 195 45s for the cyclones, tom just drop the engine down like i did.

Tyres arent cheap! And not much point, im only keeping the car for 15 more days.

I did look for soe cheap raptors though, couldnt find any. Sad

But i dont have another spare car to use to do that. Tongue

And thats all my working locations out then!? Sad

On a serious note, I did find a couple of paving slabs to use on the drive for axle stands. Smile

tom, for the snapped glow plug, id see a local metal engineering place. they could remove that for you. as i found thread extractors to be crap, i used one for my engine and the extractor snapped! my local metal engineering place could have got the snapped bolt out for me if the extractor hadnt snapped in it.

Its good you can see how good its handling is at least.

I dont worry about MPG, I dont think its possible to do less than 45mpg so no problems. I just try and keep it moving as I know it dosent have the power to accelerate.

If your tyres are 165 i think they might be a bit narrow. mine was 175/65R13 standard. If you keep it get 195/45R15 tyres put on a set of clones and I reckon you wont have problems with locking. I learnt to drive in cars without ABS so Im perfectly happy taking my foot off the brake and reapplying to stop it skidding.

An engine swap cant be hard, its only held in by 3 bolts essentially and theres only a couple of wires.

Maybe they are 175 then, didnt take much notice, just know theyre tiny lol.

My first car didn't have ABS.........it ALMOST ended up in the side of a transit van on a wet road........that alone made me buy a phase 3 with ABS!!

And a driveshaft shouldn't have been hard...it doesn't even have any bolts...but we all know what happened there!

yeah doing 4k change ups in a petrol and 2k change ups in a derv!
we recon she was speeding, as she was late for work.
she most have went around the arounder about at good 45mph. came off her exit which is up hill. but the car went straight on towards the center res as she was going up hill. so she turned the wheel to stop it heading over, but with it been the stearing been the light, she had put the oppersite lock on by mistake. car then gained traction and went wards the pavement/grassverge.
she then ended up doing a dukes of hazard and the car came to a stop by hitting a tree stump. which was lucky as she would have put the car into a garden wall!
which would have been well nasty! she was ok but shaken! car was recked,

Focus tank doesn't like being brimmed. Let the pump click once, heard the tank gurgle, thought that there must be a bit more room so let the pump click again.

Now the stupid thing thinks it has an empty tank :/
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.
