Good evening one and all.

Following on from one of Connor's comments earlier the time has come to educate people on how to effectively create and use meme's, specifically within the club environment.

Exhibit A:

Why haven't we done this already?!

An internet meme is a photo or image with an associated caption, intended to describe or illustrate a concept to either the masses or a specific group of people.

Meme's can be extremely effective at promoting a relatively simple idea, through the use of a specific connection with the target audience.

Example 1:



In this photo we can see the face of a man who is clearly lacking any form of bother. He does not have a care in the world. The associated caption to this image is a play on the once-popular Catherine Tate show, with it's signature phrase "Am I bovvered?". It clearly suits the image very well, and has instant recognition with anyone older than 15. Hence this meme can attract universal appeal.

The other popular form of meme is one which can appeal to a certain group of people.

Example 2:



In this example we can see a man. A man who has clearly imbibed too much jungle juice and is acting accordingly. From here we see the caption is a play on the popular artist Will.I.Am's name. From an external point of view, this would seem silly. However as a fellow club owner who knows that Phil does have a secret desire to become a black rapper, you know this is hilares.

I hope this has been informative, I will keep the post updated with relevant issue as it goes along. Please feel free to post club related memes for general use.
