Alpine v12 is win. I've got a 2 channel for my front speakers and it is epic!

It cost me...17 inc p&p off egay a billy barrrr-gin!!
It is win niall but 120w rms is not enough for the sub and i dont think i can bridge down to one channel for 240w rms ??? So I might go on the hunt for a secondhand alpine mono block amp to drive the sub only and the big 12 to power everything else.
I love alpine stuff because of the sound, everything is very clear!
What alpine do you have Niall?

When you amp the front speakers guys where do you put your amp? Or do you just run wires back from the boot? And then how do you put it through the door loom? Just massacre the wires there or run additional ones through?

I've just put my amp in the boot and run the wires to the iso connector behind the stereo

you can put an amp under the passenger seat for the fronts or run from a rear amp to the the fronts, depends on your amp/amps etc or choice

@niall
You run the power lead from the battery under the car and up through the grommet in the boot but how do you run the leads from HU to amp? Or are you just running the power lead that way to not drill a hole by the air con?

12" sub is the best for all round IMO and if the bass is tight and punchy or boomy depends more on if its a ported or sealed box rather than the actual sub its self So what's the benefits of each? Ported/non ported?
Also the amp you mention.. I need a sub amp! Lol for a 1kw arms Rockford fosgate sub
Would one be willing to sell?
PM sent............

I've run 0AWG through that hole in the boot, and distributed it to both amps and a fuse board.
It saves chopping around any further, and there is a gromit there so perfect for this application.
I've wired the two channels of the 'speaker amp' into an iso plug, so if i ever remove the system, i just plug back into the head unit. Saves butchering door looms too...

I know that, but 1200w might be a little excessive for the subs I have, it would be great for the 1000w audiobahn that Phil is wanting to power with it, I might have a smaller maystar amp?
