Price: £3500 ONO
Location: Norwich, Norfolk, NR6 5HP

Well the time has come to sell my Bora. Its been a great car for me and the only reason for selling up is that im getting a new job, closer to home, and wont be using my car for commuting anymore!

Iv owned it since August 2011, so nearly 9 months. In that time iv spent a fair bit on modifying it and the finished product is whats now for sale. I may end up splitting it/returning it to standard, if theres no interest for the whole car - but ideally id let it go how it stands. First of all, some photos (some older ones, all mods listed below are now fitted/included)....

Standard info....

Mileage: 97,000
Engine: 1.9 TDi PD100hp
Full VW Service history (Cambelt changed twice, most recently at around 80,000)
Fairly good tyres all round (5/6mm)
Good life left in brake pads and discs

Highline spec, including the following;
Cruise control
Heated leather seats
Sport clocks
Trip computer
Full electrics (All working)
Air conditioning
Reversing sensors

Modifications....

AEZ Simas-x alloys (8.5J front and 10J rear)
JOM coilovers
Black masked headlights
Shorter arial
Smoothed bonnet notch
Smoothed front rubstrip
Custom 6n2 polo grill
Bonnet bra
R32/TT front ARB
Chassis notch
25mm Engine raisers
Front lower fog lights (Not wired in)
Extended rear bumpstops to prevent tyre/arch contact
'JETTA' Boot badge
Colour coded lower valance
Square plate/custom bracket

Bad points.....

Front bumper/valance, front of the bonnet and the arches have been sprayed with rattle cans. The finish is fine if you dont look too close, but if you were picky they would want respraying. Not bad enough for average joe to notice though. They still looks fairly tidy!

Alloys were ran through the winter and therefore the lips are very dirty! The spokes/paint is all fine but the lips want a going over with some rough cleaner and wire wool to polish them back up.

Scuttle panel has a crack along it.

No engine undertray (Removed itself due to crazy lows)

Summary.....

Thats all I can think of at the moment, but if there anything else you want to know then feel free to ask. This is a 100% genuine car which runs fantastically and wants for nothing mechanically. With a little TLC to the bodywork/wheels it would easily be up to show car standards!

Price: £3500

I am open to offers, but this car in standard form is easily worth £3000 so bear that in mind with the list of extras included! Also, I am not in a rush to sell this - I should be starting my new job around the 14th of May so if it doesnt sell until then thats fine by me.

Contact me on 07867657024 (No calls after 10pm) as I will be posting this on alot forums and will NOT be checking for PM's or replies every half an hour.

Thanks alot, Dan.

You're seriously getting a MX5 huh?

Get on MX5nutz for starters, loads of info on there.

Get an import, special edition if you can (most are a special edition of some sort)
Avoid leather seats
If test driving, put it on full-lock and check the LSD is working (it should try to drag/skip a wheel if you try to move at full lock)
Check clutch operation carefully
If it uses oil don't worry...it can be a good bargaining chip and 9/10 times it's nothing serious...
Cambelts are not a biggy cos the engines are non-interference

Buy the car based on condition, not mileage / owners. There's so much choice out there it's unreal. They're also a piece of piss to maintain, the single easiest car to work on, ever. Miss mine like I'd miss a limb.
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

Thanks Kingy, fingers crossed eh! Smile

Chris, yeah I deffinately want one, at the moment I cant see anything else that tickels my fancy more!

Iv had a look into it and I think im going to have to get a UK spec one, imports are seriously nearly double the price on insurance - Im looking at £1300 for a UK 1.8, or £2400 for an import 1.8, crazy! :-s

But thanks for the tips, il bare all that in mind. Im on MX5oc already but il give nutz a look aswel. Thanks mate Smile
