Hi
Just in the process of swapping cambelt/water pump on my 3dr HDI. However, the supplied tensioner is metal whereas the one on the car is plastic. Are they backwards compatible? The metal one doesn't seem to want to fit on the spindle easily.
The cambelt kit is an INA kit and the part numbers all match up for the VIN/RPO
Thanks,
Tom

Some of them are interchangeable dependant on who made them, ive always had metal ones on mine however i have seen a few with the same design plastic before and not known an issue

Thanks, had another go today and it fitted straight on and all working fine. I think my car should have had a metal one on originally according to the RPO on Servicebox.
