1. take the glass out altogether and clean it spotless with soft cloths/kitchen roll
2. wipe all the crap off the roof seal then spray it with silicone spray.
3. refit and try again----DO NOT spray straight at the sides of the glass as a pressure washer will lift the seal from the glass and it will pour in !!
4. leak test with a hose pipe only, you are trying to simulate rain---not just trying to force seal to give way.

Great thanks, i'll give it a go and report back.
I sealed the last one with mastic but i want to retain use of the sunroof this time round

I did as the above and it doesnt leak as much... it waits till I go round a bend and then the flood gates open
Looks like im going to be sealing this shut forever
