Changing a key fob battery
#1
Ok, so after ten years of 306 ownership this is the first time I've ever had to change a key fob battery. I removed old batteries a few days ago whilst I waited for my amazon bought energiser ones to come. They're the exact same as the ones I removed but I can't for the life of me remember what way they go in. I've tried seemingly every combination and nothing. I can't believe believe the fob has died as it was obviously battery related as it began winding down  they didn't  suddenly stop working. Anyone help? (Ps managed to lose the tiny screw when taking it apart!)

They sit on top of each other  +--.+-- and that leaves 2 choices.  Of course if you short circuited them your key fob was engulfed in smoke, set fire to the Boeing 747, and now cars keys are banned from being carried on airlines due to the risk of them catching fire and exploding.

Yes, you can replace the batteries in your key fob, and it's a lot easier than you might think. A little flat-tipped screwdriver and a new battery are all you'll need. You will need to reconfigure the key fob remote to the vehicle after changing the battery. The warning is triggered because the computer does not recognize the remote. To unlock the doors when the ignition is turned off, the key fob must be reprogrammed to the car. The best option though is to call a locksmithing service locksmithsingapore.sg, and they will fix everything for you.
