I have a t reg 306 auto which will not start. The starter clicks but that's it. Could it be the not start in gear switch forgot what it's called.
Any ideas? Thanks for your help

Inhibitor switch I think is what you mean.
If the starter does click then I'm guessing that the switch is working to some degree as otherwise you'd logically get nothing at all to the starter solenoid.
Easy way to prove it is to see if you get something different (i.e. nothing at all) if you try starting the engine with it in something other than park/neutral.

Try rocking the car in neutral..
If it was the switch there would be no crank and no noise...
Sounds more like a dead starter/bad conection
