My car definitely isn't show worthy but it's got alot of shiny in the bay and makes the best noises (as well as being pretty much the most powerful thing on stand)

Yeah you can see how it took me days to fit my exhaust. The up pipe (especially the standard one with the cat in) is such a cock to remove, I cut it in half but apparently a specialist would jack the engine up off the mount.

It depends how wide front row is! If it is wide enough you'll be front but we won't have any idea till we get down there

Ah Thankyou! It's looking a lot cleaner on the front end now with the new indicator lenses and few extras. Needed it after 4 years of looking the exact same! Always a laugh cruising back

Bugger again. I'm going to have to be on the 1.30am ferry then. Next one after isn't until 7am, and I should have been there by then lmao

Were there even any rows? I got there massively late and just dumped the car near the other 306s.
This post is an artistic work of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted above as fact.

yes our stand was in rows
too small an area for the amount of cars we had though

Yeah, the same issue we've had every year it's been at Combe. I don't know how other clubs get such massive stands.

We gota huge stand last year..best ever.

Was seriously dissapointed this year tbh.

Do they even consider that no one cares about "built not bought" and that those with track time need to be near...well...the track entrance??

(no fault of staff though, you guys worked hard to get everyone on our garden sized patch and next to our "premium viewing area")

I would have been very interested in built not bought if the cars were as such, some of the cars there had thousands of pounds wourth of wheels, air rides and IIRC one had a retrimmed interior. I highly doubt it was done by anyone at home on their driveway and certainly (IMO) it's not in the spirit of built not bought.

Are you however suggesting that everyone who is going on track throughout the day (40 cars per 2 hr session and 20 cars per 20 min session) which is 240 cars get all the spaces near to the track?

That would leave some club stands very depleted and totally strip clubs of cool fast cars, furthermore half of the fun with going on the track from the club stand is everyone sees you going out so gets a viewing point, you've got lots or willing mechanics and people to store your kit while you are out on the track.

As for the stand I really would love to know how every year we get such a small stand (in area per car) compared to others. I appreciate that especially with our clubs dwindling numbers we don't necessarily command a premium space but the track noise did get a little tiresome in the afternoon.

It fucks me off as you then end up with people like Justin (with the red rattle canned estate) saying he won't go on built not bought as he feels people are taking the piss out of him. Its such a shame as his car was looking spot on at the weekend and was built on a council estate on a budget, the epitome of built not bought IMO.
