Ecu and things needed to work

Hello I'm pulling parts of my 306 hdi.

The ecu I wanted to keep it has been remapped so what else is needed. I know the ecu and the key chip and the black barrel ring around were the key goes.

Not the ring around the barrel.

The black box under the centre console, need to remove ash tray console and it has 3 torx screws under there.

Cool thanks I've just removed the ecu and kept the key and now will get that box in the centre console.

remember a 1 plug ecu won't fit a 3 plugged car or the other way round

I got that black box out from by the ashtray. It had a blue and yellow connectors on it.

The screws were already of so somebody else must have been messing about there.

So that's the ecu, chip in key and black box.

Yeah people seem to think the ring reads the code. But the fact it doesn't it only sends the signal.

The way it works the key chip responds to the black ring barrel which then sends signal to black box. The key chip code read in the black box and then sent to the ecu.
