2.1 2.2 petrol engine questions.

so im planning the next volvo project at the moment but ive got a decent bottom end of the 2.1 xud lying about thats just going to get binned im afriad. however i think remember reading somewhere about the cranks being used in the gti engines xu10 i think.  to make a 2.1 or 2.2 engine. anyone done one of these? just dreaming as usual.

im building one right now, you need custom rods as the big end is wider than all the other xu engines, theres a few pistons you can use, depends how far you want to go really.

Ok so i obviusly read it somewhere then as i wouldnt have just thought that up. Have you got a build thread up? Genuinlly interested in reading up about it

its in my build thread yeah, its as simple as what i posted though, the rest is normal engine building.
