Stopping force wise yes, I reckon they are actually better than 406 brembos on xantia discs.
Like I think 10-15m shorter stopping distance from 100mph and also the feel is better with them.
I think the issue for most people is the weight. Like a HDi 266mm caliper, pads and disc is about 9.5kg, the 302mm caliper, pads and disc is about 16kg. I don't have a weight for the GTi6 suff but it's nearer the 266 end of the scale.
I've got itchy feet to get stuff gone and get a FMIC for the scooby while they are still on special offer so for you I could make it £100 posted ONO.
Oh and both nipples are free but one is more of a mole grip job and will need replaced.

It's 40mm where it comes off the turbo, then 60 as it runs across to the intercooler, then 51 as it goes into and comes out of the intercooler then 57mm for the rest of the run up to the inlet.
There was a bloke on facebook who said he'd have it (actually there was a few but he was the first) but he looks like he's messing me about so if he hasn't paid by tonight you can have it if you want. it'll be £30 postage parcel force 48.

Thanks for the offer Dum dum was looking for a 2/2.25 all the way through for less lag, also would have been looking to collect at fcs/pugfest if you were going instead of postage, but cheers though!

It is 2-2.25" all the way through (bar the bit off the turbo at 40mm) and the bit at the front that is just over 2.25"
Although it changes diameter you won't find a ready made kit better, the 2.2pipe comes out at 60mm and all the smaller FMICs have 2" outlets so although it's not ideal to change sizes up and down it does it a minimal amount and any set up that is not laggy is likely to have these changes in pipe diameter.

would the 302mm brakes fit under 16" cyclones?
I've got a 306 hdi so guess it'd be a straight fit, also do they squeal as I've heard a lot about that.

Never heard of 16" Cyclones.
The 302mm brakes fit under 16" wheels but will not fit under 15" cyclones
They do not squeal, not at all, it's the brembos that squeel.
If you wanted I'd consider a package deal on the 16" wheels I'm selling that they definitely fit under and the brakes
